Academic and Industrial Cooperation Steps Between TAU and H-BRS
International academic and strategic cooperation meetings were held between our university and Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg (H-BRS) University of Applied Sciences, one of Germany’s leading educational institutions, with the participation of our industry stakeholders. The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Iris Groß, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at H-BRS, and Dr. Rohel Hutgens, Head of the International Office. Representing our university delegation were Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yunus Ziya Arslan, Prof. Dr. Christoph Uhrhan, Prof. Dr. Murat Hamderi, Asst. Prof. Mehmet İpekoğlu, Asst. Prof. Murat Tümer, and TTO representative Res. Asst. Kadir Sağır. Additionally, representatives from our industrial partner Mamurtech—Metin Öztürk, Cem Özdağ, and Recep Mamur—were present within the scope of university-industry cooperation.
During the meetings, a consensus was reached on developing joint R&D projects in strategic fields such as Robotics, Sustainability, and Renewable Energy; the mutual sharing of innovative educational methodologies and materials presented by Prof. Dr. Iris Groß; and increasing mobility opportunities at the level of student clubs (e.g., Formula Student, Teknofest). As the next step in the cooperation process, a technical delegation visit is planned, which will also include industrial partners in Germany. As the TAU Technology Transfer Application and Research Center, we continue to strengthen our global academic network through industry-oriented projects.
