TAU TTM and Siemens Healthineers Discuss Strategic Partnership Opportunities

Representatives from the Turkish-German University and Siemens Healthineers Turkey convened to evaluate potential partnerships within the framework of university-industry cooperation. The meeting was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yunus Ziya Arslan, Dean of the Faculty of Science Prof. Dr. Aysu Yarman, Prof. Dr. Orkide Coşkuner Weber, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bilge Saruhan Brings, Dr. Assistant Professor Zeynep Sabahat Yunt, Dr. Assistant Professor Gülsüm Gündoğdu, and Res. Asst. Kadir Sağır on behalf of our university. Representing Siemens Healthineers were General Manager Enis Sonemel, CFO Nalan Abdullahoğlu, Assistant General Managers Gürdal Şahin, Ertan Cömert, and Fırat Aksoy, alongside Marketing Manager Didem Fesci İşgüder. During the discussions, information was shared regarding the R&D activities conducted through Siemens Healthineers’ Innovation Center in Istanbul, visionary projects such as the "Future of Laboratories" series, and startup mentorship processes. The meeting also addressed the sectoral applications of scientific projects that could be developed through the existing laboratory infrastructure and the planned Institute of Sensors and Actuators within our university. Furthermore, key topics were discussed to blend academic knowledge with industrial expertise, including the contribution of company executives to advisory boards and the enhancement of career ecosystem opportunities for our students.
